About Bujinkan Dojo Göteborg
Our spacious dojo
Bujinkan Dojo Göteborg is a non-profit sports association and the oldest Bujikan dojo in Göteborg, Sweden. The dojo has been around in Göteborg since the fall 1983. We are about 50-60 active members in the ages from 6y to +60y!

The training sessions are divided according to the degree/grade and age of the participants. We have training sessions for kids in the ages 6-9y, 10-12y and then a youth group 12-16y old. We have three groups for adults; beginners (10 -> 9 kyu), intermediate (9 -> 5 kyu) and an advanced group (5 kyu -> 15 dan).

We have a big and spacious dojo! The floor area is about 170 square meters and it is above two stories tall (6 meters). We also host training camps for both adults and kids/youth and also travel together to other Bujinkan camps around the world. It is important for us to, beside the training sessions, also have social activities throughout the year for all ages with for example christmas party, summer party and a number of improvised social gatherings in the relax areas in our dojo.

If you have any questions, please send an email or come and visit us at Fabriksgatan 30 in the city district ”Gårda” in Göteborg.
We are members of the Swedish Budo & Martial Arts Federation, the Swedish Bujinkan Federation and the Swedish Sports Confederation (Riksidrottsförbundet).

Our black belts
Bujinkan Dojo Göteborg has a wide range of experienced and helpful instructors who take care of the training session and help the other members to develop. Like most Bujinkan associations in Sweden, we have close contact with Japan. We occasionally send our instructors to Honbu dojo in Japan to train and learn from Soke Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi and his Japanese Shihan.

The rating system is based on most of the similar budo styles on Kyū degrees (before black belt) and Dan degrees (Black belt). Outside Japan, Bujinkan is currently graded to a maximum of 4 Dan. All degrees then need to be obtained when visiting Japan.
